Beetroots owe their colour to a natural pigment called Betalain. This pigment is full of natural antioxidants and radical scavenging properties for protection against cancer cells. Beetroot is also rich in minerals such as potassium, vitamin C, calcium, magnesium and iron. Excellent source of folic acid.
Rosehip extract is a good source of anti-ageing vitamin C. With exceptional emollient, anti-oxidant and astringent properties, it helps the skin heal and regenerate. It reduces the signs of ageing, especially the fine lines around the eyes (crows feet) and the mouth, and the drying effects of the sun and climate. Rosehip oil penetrates the skin very quickly, making it a good moisturiser and with all the other positive properties, and its tissue regeneration action, it is easy to understand why it is often described as the oil of youth.
This naturally-occurring mineral-based pigment, derived from the mineral Ore Bauxite, is formulated into a creamy white ointment. When applied externally, it provides broad UVA and UVB sun protection.
